Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms J Elliott, the trainer of Meehan Blue regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Meehan Blue last raced on 27 August 2017 and is returning to racing following injuries to both monkey muscles. Mr Elliott also declared a new weight of 34.9kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).
Catsford Allen was quick to begin.
Cheeky Cindy and Fiesty Ivy collided approaching the first turn. What Stopping Ya checked off Catsford Allen on the first turn causing Flowering Rose to gallop on What Stoppin Ya severely checking Cheeky Cindy, Fiesty Ivy , Cataleya and Meehan Blue. Meehan Blue crossed the rail approaching the home turn checking Cataleya. Meehan Blue raced wide on the home turn.
Cheeky Cindy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right wrist sprain, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms J. Elliott regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Meehan Blue. Stewards issued a warning to Ms Elliott.
