Miss Fagan and Jessie Fernando collided soon after the start.  Killara John checked off Trinity Kid soon after the start.  Crackerjack Des, Trinity Kid and Bit Of Fun collided on the first turn checking Trinity Kid; Trinity Kid collided with Killara John as a result checking Killara John.  Crackerjack Des and Bit Of Fun collided approaching the home turn checking Crackerjack Des.  Jessie Fernando checked off Miss Fagan approaching the home turn.  Crackerjack Des and Trinity Kid collided on the home turn.  Jessie Fernando and Killara John collided on the home turn severely checking Jessie Fernando.  Crackerjack Des and Killara John collided entering the home straight.  Killara John clipped the heels of Crackerjack Des in the home straight checking Killara John which stumbled.

Killara John was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left wrist sprain, left monkey muscle injury and a spike wound to the left front toe, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Why Not Leo was quick to begin.  Mia Maestro was slow to begin.

Why Not Leo crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Tranquil Flex and Romsey Bowler.  Mia Maestro and Romsey Bowler collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Superfast love contacted the running rail on the first turn.  Mia Maestro and Romsey Bowler collided approaching the home turn severely checking both greyhounds, Romsey Bowler faltered and pulled up.

Romsey Bowler was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right radius/ulna fracture, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Polite Request and Chinookan Blue were slow to begin.

Whiney Whine and Still Quick collided soon after the start checking Still Quick.  Poppy's Way and Be Bob collided approaching the first turn checking Poppy's Way.  Poppy's Way, Galloping Flash and Whiney Whine collided on the first turn checking Poppy's Way, Polite Request, Galloping Flash and Whiney Whine.  Be Bob eased on the first turn checking Betwixt and Chinookan Blue.  Be Bob and Betwixt collided approaching the second turn checking Betwixt.  Betwixt checked off Be Bob on the second turn checking Still Quick.  Poppy's Way and Whiney Whine collided on the third turn checking both greyhounds.  Poppy's Way and Betwixt collided on the home turn.  Poppy's Way and Whiney Whine collided entering the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

Poppy's Way was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hind spike wound, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr Majoor, the trainer of Poppy’s Way regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. After viewing all available video footage Stewards took no further action. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Crawford, the trainer of the greyhound Be Bob regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn.  Be Bob was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to right hind split webbing and dislocated toe injuries, a 28 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Be Bob with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Crawford pleaded guilty to the charge, Be Bob was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Why Not Senor, Modern Value and Bigtime Bruce collided soon after the start checking Modern Value.  Sports Knight, Ernie's Legacy, Shrek's Capri and Sunlit Breaker collided soon after the start checking all four greyhounds.  Modern Value and Sports Knight collided on the first turn checking Ernie's Legacy, Sunlit Breaker and severely checking Sports Knight which stumbled.  Modern Value checked off Bigtime Bruce on the first turn checking Sunlit Breaker and severely checking Modern Value.

Crackerjack Daza, Lady Bullseye and Vane Power collided soon after the start checking Lady Bullseye.  Come On Colour, Vane Power and Wai Lin collided on the first turn checking Vane Power.  Crackerjack Daza and China Catch 'Em collided on the first turn checking China Catch 'Em.  Come On Colour and Crackerjack Daza collided on the second turn checking Crackerjack Daza.  Lady Bullseye and Crackerjack Daza collided in the back straight checking Crackerjack Daza.  Lady Bullseye raced wide in the back straight and in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Ms J Elliott, the trainer of Meehan Blue regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Meehan Blue last raced on 27 August 2017 and is returning to racing following injuries to both monkey muscles. Mr Elliott also declared a new weight of 34.9kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).

Catsford Allen was quick to begin.

Cheeky Cindy and Fiesty Ivy collided approaching the first turn.  What Stopping Ya checked off Catsford Allen on the first turn causing Flowering Rose to gallop on What Stoppin Ya severely checking Cheeky Cindy, Fiesty Ivy , Cataleya and Meehan Blue.  Meehan Blue crossed the rail approaching the home turn checking Cataleya.  Meehan Blue raced wide on the home turn.

Cheeky Cindy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right wrist sprain, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms J. Elliott regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Meehan Blue. Stewards issued a warning to Ms Elliott.

Track Curator Mr T. Godfrey advised Stewards that the track had been Rotary Hoed to 75mm on Friday 15 December 2017.
