Steward's Report
This meeting was declared "hot weather" affected. At the close of kennelling the outside temperature was 32 degrees and the kennel temperature was 19 degrees.
Nellie Shan was quick to begin. Yolk's Boy was slow to begin.
Kiss Me Putu and Inga Ross collided soon after the start checking Kiss Me Putu. Graphite County and Far Welsh collided approaching the first turn checking Graphite County. Far Welsh and Dyna Bentley collided approaching the first turn checking Far Welsh. Far Welsh checked off Nellie Shan approaching the home turn. Inga Ross and Graphite County collided entering the home straight and several times in the home straight. Inga Ross marred Graphite County in the home straight.
Inga Ross was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right monkey muscle strain, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr P. Inguanti, the trainer of the greyhound Inga Ross regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1 ) stewards charged Inga Ross with marring. Mr Inguanti pleaded guilty to the charge, Inga Ross was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Horsham and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
