Steward's Report

A pre-race sample was taken from Aston Danger.

This event was delayed by approximately 1 minute to hold for a Geraldton gallops race.

Clovally Mansumi and Aston Danger collided soon after the start. Chief Mingo, Wet And Wild, Senor Asher and Amiss Barbados collided approaching the first turn checking Wet And Wild. Chief Mingo, Senor Asher and Miss Barbados collided on the first turn checking Senor Asher. Aston Danger checked off Petite Senor approaching the home turn checking Petite Senor. Aston Danger galloped on the heels od Miss Barbados on the home turn causing Miss Barbadod to fall as a result.

Miss Barbados was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Meeting Comments:-

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr.M. Grainger, the trainer of Cosmic Squaw regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Cosmic Squaw last raced on 12th June 2015. Mr. Grainger stated that he had been ill and the greyhound was resuming from a lengthy spell. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Cosmic Squaw trialled over the 390mts from box 1, weight 24.4kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.67, the greyhound won by a margin of 5.25L. Cosmic Squaw was cleared.
