Steward's Report
This event was rescheduled to start at 10.45pm.
Tiggerlong Ray and Osakalaka collided soon after the start. Maifold, Tiggerlong Ray and Osakalaka collided approaching the first turn. Dyna Gavin and Destini Seahorse collided on the first turn. Osakalaka and Destini Seahorse collided on the first turn. Osakalaka and Dyna Gavin collided on the home turn checking Tiggerlong Ray. Osakalaka failed to pursue the lure on the third turn and again approaching the home turn.
Osakalaka was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr D. Chapman, the representative of the greyhound Osakalaka regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the third turn and again approaching the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Osakalaka with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Chapman pleaded guilty to the charge, Osakalaka was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
