Steward's Report
Banjo Braxton was a late scratching at 10.34am due to injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
A pre-race sample was taken from Tucky's Daughter.
Tail Inspector, Evie Lass and Tucky's Daughter were slow to begin. Tail Inspector and Evie Lass collided soon after the start. Tucky's Daughter and Sharp Spur collided approaching the first turn. Misty's Boy and Bowon Approach collided approaching the first turn checking Bowon Approach. Tail Inspector and Tucky's Daughter collided on the first turn. Golden Gloves marred Misty's Boy on the first turn and again approaching the second turn checking Misty's Boy. Sharp Spur galloped on Golden Gloves in the back straight. Golden Gloves marred Misty's Boy approaching the home turn and again on the home turn checking Misty's Boy and Bowon Approach. Golden Gloves marred Misty's Boy in the home straight checking Misty's Boy.
Golden Gloves was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right wrist and right shoulder, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Templeton the trainer of the greyhound Golden Gloves regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn, approaching the second turn, approaching the home turn, on the home turn and in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Golden Gloves with marring. Mr. Templeton pleaded guilty to the charge, Golden Gloves was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the gryehound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
