Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Ms. C. McMillan the trainer of Orataya regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Orataya lasted raced on 09/08/17. Ms. McMillan stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an injured hock and from being on season.
Tilley's Pie was quick to begin. Arctic Iggy and Scarlet Magic collided soon after the start. Ann Cherie and Dr. Shreds collided approaching the first turn checking Dr. Shreds. Sazana and Tilley's Pie collided approaching the first turn. Orataya, Arctic Iggy and Scarlet Magic collided approaching the first turn checking Arctic Iggy. Ann Cherie galloped on Amaroo Minx in the back straight severely checking Amaroo Minx, Arctic Iggy was checked as a result, Amaroo Minx subsequently tailed off. Scarlet Magic was checked off Dr. Shreds approaching the home turn checking Dr. Shreds.
Arctic Iggy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right back muscle and right hamstring, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
