Steward's Report
Due to persitant rainfall, Stewards inspected the track on two occasions prior to the first race and were satisfied that the track was suitable for racing.
Marcus Daking was quick to begin. Crump's Princess and Become The Fuse were slow to begin.
Joffa's Oldboy and El Grand Knocka collided soon after the start. Magic Buddie and Become The Fuse collided soon after the start. Marcus Daking and El Grand Knocka collided on the first turn. Crump's Princess and Become The Fuse collided on the first turn. Sariah Allen and Glenda Kingy collided approaching the second turn, checking Glenda Kingy and Magic Buddie. Marcus Daking and El Grand Knocka collided on the second turn, checking Magic Buddie. Joffa's Oldboy, Crump's Princess and Become The Fuse collided on the second turn, checking Joffa's Oldboy and Become The Fuse. Joffa's Oldboy faltered on the second turn and subsequently tailed off. El Grand Knocka and Become The Fuse collided in the back straight.
Joffa's Oldboy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right back muscle. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
A sample was taken from Glenda Kingy, winner of the event.
Following the event, Stewards inspected a section of the track near the second turn and subsequently deemed the surface safe to continue racing.
