Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Geoffrey Johnston, the trainer of Dodging Danger, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Dodging Danger last raced on 18 September 2017. Mr Johnston stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an extended spell.
Sisco Ride was a late scratching at 2:54 pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, due to dehydration. A five day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was taken Ima Maldini.
Destini Radar was quick to begin. Dodging Danger was slow to begin. Hometown Lads, Ima Maldini and Miss Dangerwood collided approaching the first turn. Destini Radar, Dynamite Danger and Lektra Viki collided on the first turn, checking Dynamite Danger. Hometown Lads and Ima Maldini collided approaching the home turn. Dodging Danger tailed off in the home straight.
Dodging Danger was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right hindleg thigh injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
