Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr Daniel Pell, the trainer of Mutant, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Mutant last raced on 27 July 2017. Mr Pell stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an injury to the left shoulder.
A pre-race sample was taken from Zed Merrett.
Fiery Melody was quick to begin. Night King, Mutant, Gunmetal Rebel, Zed Merrett and Master Rico collided soon after the start, checking Mutant, Zed Merrett and Master Rico. Night King and Gunmetal Rebel collided approaching the first turn, checking Gunmetal Rebel. Night King and Master Rico collided on the first turn, checking Master Rico. Fiery Melody and Thomas Dee collided entering the home straight, checking Fiery Melody.
