Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr James Shaw, the handler of Capaldi, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Capaldi last raced on 18 August 2017. Mr Shaw stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following an injury to the left triangle.
Mr Richard Gray was fined the sum of $50 for failing to ensure the registration papers/registration card were produced for the greyhound, Cobber Victorem, pursuant to GAR 33.
A pre-race sample was taken from Sisco Yes.
Sisco Yes and Superior Beam were slow to begin. Destini Agitator and Blue Hunter collided soon after the start. Cobber Victorem and Starbright Madie collided soon after the start. Capaldi, Destini Agitator and Blue Hunter collided approaching the first turn. Sisco Yes raced wide approaching the home turn. Blue Hunter and Starbright Madie collided in the home straight, checking Starbright Madie.
