Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Martinovic, the kennel representative of Ocean VIew regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Ocean View last raced on 10th August 2017. Mr. Martinovic stated that the greyhound is returning to racing after being on season.
Mepunga Gal and Candy Rose were slow to begin. Marcus Daking, Cambo's Cindy and Ocean View collided soon after the start checking Cambo's Cindy and Ocean View. Mepunga Gal and Candy Rose collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Bee Rose and Ursula Bale raced wide in the back straight and collided several times as a result. Candy Rose and Cambo's Cindy collided approaching the home turn checking Cambo's Cindy. Bee Rose raced wide in the home straight.
Bee Rose was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. Stewards directed that a sample be taken from the greyhound, the winner of the event.
