Dark Taboo and Little Dynamo collided on the first turn checking Deadline and severely checking Little Dynamo.

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Pipczak, the trainer of Handsome Jake and issued him a warning with regard to his failure to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound for racing.

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Boehmke, the trainer of Flashing Lights regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Flashing Lights last raced on 13th July 2017. Mr. Boehmke stated that  the greyhound was returning from a right hind foot injury and a change of kennel. Mr. Boehmke also declared a new weight of 30.4kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Flashing Lights last raced at 28.4kg.

Archer's Will and Panda Rebel were quick to begin.

Archer's Will and Midnight Hero collided soon after the start checking Midnight Hero. Archer's Will, Panda Rebel and Midnight Hero collided approaching the first turn. Midnight Hero and Panda Rebel collided on the first turn severely checking Midnight Hero and Cast And Hungry.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Dyna Wazza and a post-race sample was subsequently taken.

Shot Thru was very slow to begin (3L).

Bolton Blue and Johnny Wishbone were quick to begin.

Perfect Nature and Elevated were slow to begin.

Kentucky Sun and Honestly Bob collided on the home turn.

Capricorn Storm and Freakish Flash collided soon after the start. Fair Ride and White Bandit collided soon after the start. Capricorn Storm and Freakish Flash collided approaching the first turn checking Capricorn Storm. Blue Blitz and Just Smile collided on the first turn. Freakish Flash and Fair Ride collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Capricorn Storm raced wide on the home turn. Just Smile faltered in the home straight. White Bandit and Blue Blitz collided in the home straight.

Just Smile was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hock and was humanely euthanased.

Nolen's Fortune and Captain Risky were quick to begin.

Critic was very slow to begin (3L).

Nolen's Fortune and Bee Rose collided on the first turn checking Nolen's Fortune. Crump's Princess and Critic collided entering the back straight. Nolen's Fortune and Trademark Rocky collided approaching the second turn. Facts Don't Lie andx Critic collided approaching the home turn.

Zip Zip Anna was a late scratching at 13:56 on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Atu Kapil and Klondike Gold raced wide on the home turn and collided entering the home straight.

Certain Smile was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left fore leg. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Baxter, the trainer of the greyhound Certain Smile regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Certain Smile with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Baxter pleaded guilty to the charge, Certain Smile was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 3 months (all tracks) and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Jenna Bale was a late scratching at 14:11 due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24). A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Starface and Calabasas were quick to begin.

Jimmy Got Style was slow to begin.

Starface, Loch Eddie and Our Didda collided on the first turn checking Loch Eddie. Our Didda checked off Crackerjack Blax in the back straight. Miss Legality and Starface collided on the second turn checking Starface. Loch Eddie and Starface collided on the home turn checking Starface. Starface raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.
