Capricorn Storm and Freakish Flash collided soon after the start. Fair Ride and White Bandit collided soon after the start. Capricorn Storm and Freakish Flash collided approaching the first turn checking Capricorn Storm. Blue Blitz and Just Smile collided on the first turn. Freakish Flash and Fair Ride collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Capricorn Storm raced wide on the home turn. Just Smile faltered in the home straight. White Bandit and Blue Blitz collided in the home straight.
Just Smile was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right hock and was humanely euthanased.
