Stewards spoke to Ms Leanne Hall, the trainer of the greyhound My Mate Horse regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged My Mate Horse with marring. Ms Hall pleaded not guilty to the charge, My Mate Horse was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Shepparton and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Kraken Elroy trialled over the 390m from box three, weight 32.0kg, the greyhound was placed fifth in a field of five. The time of the trial was 22.96, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 18.75L. Kraken Elroy was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Beejay's Lad trialled over the 390m from box four, weight 35.2kg, the greyhound was placed fourth in a field of five. The time of the trial was 22.96, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 14.25L. Beejay's Lad was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr John Mangion, the trainer of See Ya Mate, regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. See Ya Mate last raced on 1 October 2016. Mr Mangion stated that the greyhound had been spelling. Pursuant to GAR 77A, See Ya Mate trialled over the 390m from box eight, weight 33.4kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of five. The time of the trial was 22.96, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 7.75L. See Ya Mate was cleared.
