Stewards spoke to Mr Benjamin Divirgilio, the trainer of Gentle Giant, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Gentle Giant last raced on 4 June 2017. Mr Divirgilio stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a right hock injury.

A pre-race sample was taken from Mr. Diaz.
