This event was delayed by approximately 3 minutes to allow for a Pinjarra harness race to be completed.

Storming Alley was a late scratching at 6:41pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to a laceration to its left front leg.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Pavarotti was quick to begin.  Masked Belle and Little Sidey were slow to begin.  Mac's Intention and Run Tom Run collided soon after the start.  Mac's Intention, Run Tom Run and Caitlin Louise collided approaching the first turn.  Mac's Intention and Run Tom Run collided on the first turn.  Masked Belle and Caitlin Louise collided on the home turn.  Run Tom Run eased in the home straight and collided with Pavarotti.

Stewards spoke to Mr. T. Van Taarling, the trainer of the greyhound Run Tom Run regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Run Tom Run was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained minor split webbing to its left hind foot.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Run Tom Run with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Van Taarling pleaded guilty to the charge.  Run Tom Run was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Doige, the trainer of Ishmy Sooty regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Ishmy Sooty last raced on 16th June 2017.  Mr. Doige stated that Ishmy Sooty was returning to race after recovering from surgery.

Later Skaters and Liscoyle Lass were quick to begin.  Whipstick Indi and Parvati Grange collided soon after the start.  Senor Sensation and Hillbilly Kisses collided soon after the start.  Mariah's Moon and Senor Sensation collided approaching the first turn.  Later Skaters and Whipstick Indi collided approaching the first turn.  Whipstick Indi checked off Later Skaters on the first turn.  Whipstick Indi, Liscoyle Lass and Hillbilly Kisses collided on the first turn checking Mariah's Moon.  Senor Sensation and Hillbilly Kisses collided approaching the home turn.  Later Skaters eased on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Boots, the trainer of the greyhound Later Skaters regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn.  Later Skaters was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 6, it was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to its left stopper and right hind toe and an injury to its right wrist.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the Stewards charged Later Skaters with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr. Boots pleaded guilty to the charge.  Later Skaters was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.

Perfect Nature, Better Way and Kraken Lanina were slow to begin.  Colombian Coffee, Wok Djay and Toby's Taxi collided approaching the first turn.  Colombian Coffee, Toby's Taxi and Mepunga Diego collided on the first turn checking Toby's Taxi, Perfect Nature, Better Way and Kraken Lanina.

Vincent Benedict, Hillbilly Boy and Markinch Maid were slow to begin.  Hillbilly Boy and Jake Delight collided approaching the first turn.  Jake Delight and Markinch Maid collided approaching the first turn.  Mrs. Fozz checked off Jake Delight on the first turn.  Lorella, Hillbilly Boy and Markinch Maid collided on the first turn checking Hillbilly Boy.  Lorella and Markinch Maid collided on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. R. Barbour, the trainer of Cool Boots regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Cool Boots last raced on 5th June 2017.  Mrs. Barbour stated that Cool Boots was returning to race after being spelled.

Quick Collision and Emi's Boy Macca collided soon after the start.  Regan Keeping and Barnie's Blaster collided approaching the first turn.  Quick Collision and Emi's Boy Macca collided on the first turn.  Cindy's Zafonic checked off Emi's Boy Macca on the first turn.  Regan Keeping and Barnie's Blaster collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn.  Barnie's Blaster and Beyond The Vally collided in the home straight.

Kraken Tobias was a late scratching at 8:51pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to an injury to its right hind toe.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Lance Lomar.

Lance Lomar, Troy Boyce and Tat Duke were quick to begin.  Media Street and Tat Duke collided approaching the first turn.  Hector Cabang and Troy Boyce collided on the first turn.  Media Street, Tat Duke and Proven May collided on the first turn checking Tat Duke.  Sonny's Tas checked off tat Duke on the first turn.

Mr. D. Basile, trainer of Just Run Left declared a new weight of 31.8kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Just Run Left last raced at 33.5kgs.

Flying Mia was slow to begin.  Right Off Spot and Our Spirit collided approaching the first turn.  Bev's Girl, Platinum Rift and William Cabang collided on the first turn.  Right Off Spot, Our Spirit and Flying Mia collided on the first turn checking Flying Mia and Our Spirit.  Right Off Spot checked off Just Run Left approaching the home turn.  Platinum Rift and William Cabang collided on the home turn.  Platinum Rift checked off William Cabang entering the home straight.  Right Off Spot raced wide entering the home straight.

Our Spirit was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing to its right hind foot and a right hind phalangeal fracture (toe).  A 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Pyramid Flyer, All Inn Emma and All Inn Houston were quick to begin.  Kraken Bolt was slow to begin.  Gunai Chief and Burst Through collided approaching the first turn.  Dozer Gold and All Inn Houston collided approaching the first turn.  Pyramid Flyer and Burst Through collided on the home turn.  Gunai Chief checked off Pyramid Flyer on the home turn; Gunai Chief stumbled as a result.  Gunai Chief raced wide in the home straight.

Kraken Titch and Little Bit Shiny were quick to begin.  Little Bit Shiny faltered soon after the start and pulled up as a result.  Kraken Titch, Rubba Wilson and Longshot Glory collided approaching the first turn.  Kraken Titch and Rubba Wilson collided on the first turn checking Kraken Titch.

Little Bit Shiny was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right calf and a superficial infection to its right hind leg.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Onyx Miss and Princess Pooch were quick to begin.  Shooter's Odysey was slow to begin.  Shooter's Odysey and Piccolo Poppy collided soon after the start.  Onyx Miss and Princess Pooch collided approaching the first turn.  Twilight Liason and Eden Lass collided on the first turn.  Shooter's Odysey and Piccolo Poppy collided on the home turn.

Bound Afer Gold was quick to begin.  Sammi Jay and My Name's Ned collided approaching the first turn.  Swift Knockout, Serious Secret and Kraken Betty collided approaching the first turn.  Sammi Jay galloped on the heels of My Name's Ned on the first turn; Sammi Jay fell as a result.  Swift Knockout and Storm Of All collided several times in the home straight.

Sammi Jay was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to its left and right hind legs and injuries to its left flexor tendon, right thigh and left sartorius muscle.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Acola Sweetie and Kraken Ridge were quick to begin.  Switch Girl was slow to begin.  All Inn Johnson, All Inn Hunter and Kraken Ridge collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  All Inn Hunter raced wide in the home straight.
