Steward's Report
An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Rocketness engaged in this event on 22 August, 2017 pursuant to GAR 79A.
Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Parade Steward Ms. K. McGrath did not act in any official capacity for this event.
No Excuse was slow to begin.
Pepper Shannon and Just Teefa collided soon after the start. Ultimate Return and Barellen Panther collided approaching the first turn checking Ultimate Return and No Excuse. Pepper Shannon and Just Teefa collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Ultimate Return and Just Teefa collided on the home turn. Proven Snow checked off Barellen Panther entering the home straight.
Barellen Panther was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left tricep, left stifle and left pencil muscle. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. L. Delbridge, the handler of Barellen Panther and issued her a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.
