Steward's Report
Clover Lad and Serene Machine were slow to begin.
Kraken Elroy and Quick Session collided soon after the start. Clover Lad checked off Honestly Bob approaching the first turn. Honestly Bob and Serene Machine collided on the first turn checking Honestly Bob and Clover Lad. Parish Power crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Kraken Elroy and Quick Session. Kraken Elroy eased approaching the home turn. Parish Power raced wide entering the home straight checking Cast And Hungry and Parish Power.
Parish Power was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right groin injury. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Eyles, the trainer of the greyhound Kraken Elroy regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Kraken Elroy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right monkey muscle, left and right stifle and right groin. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Kraken Elroy with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Eyles pleaded guilty to the charge, Kraken Elroy was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
