Honestly Bob and Serene Machine collided on the first turn checking Honestly Bob and Clover Lad. Parish Power crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Kraken Elroy and Quick Session. Kraken Elroy eased approaching the home turn. Parish Power raced wide entering the home straight checking Cast And Hungry and Parish Power.

Parish Power was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right groin injury. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Eyles, the trainer of the greyhound Kraken Elroy regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn. Kraken Elroy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right monkey muscle, left and right stifle and right groin. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Kraken Elroy with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Eyles pleaded guilty to the charge, Kraken Elroy was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Pepper Shannon and Just Teefa collided soon after the start. Ultimate Return and Barellen Panther collided approaching the first turn checking Ultimate Return and No Excuse. Pepper Shannon and Just Teefa collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Ultimate Return and Just Teefa collided on the home turn. Proven Snow checked off Barellen Panther entering the home straight.

Barellen Panther was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left tricep, left stifle and left pencil muscle. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. L. Delbridge, the handler of Barellen Panther and issued her a warning regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post.

Harvey Mills and Clovally Mansumi collided approaching the first turn checking Clovally Mansumi. Black Paws galloped on the heels of Haboob approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds. Pomp Fiction and Black Paws collided several times in the home straight.

Haboob was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hind toe injury. A stand down period of 3 days was imposed.

Zelemar Roo was slow to begin.

Handpass and Scott It collided soon after the start checking Handpass. Augustus Dagloop and Scott It collided approaching the first turn checking Scott It. Augustus Dagloop, Unique Replica and Right Now collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Handpass checked off Zelemar Roo on the first turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr P.Donohue, the trainer of Jaimandy Hatty regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Jaimandy Hatty last raced on 25 March, 2017. Mr Donohue stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a right flexor tendon injury.

Reefton Treasure and Federal Agent collided soon after the start. Reefton Treasure, Federal Agent and Jaimandy Hatty collided approaching the first turn checking Federal Agent. Reefton Treasure and Jaimandy Hatty collided approaching the first turn. Cadalora and Reefton Treasure collided on the first turn checking  both greyhounds. Ok Jake and Good Luck Mark collided on the first turn checking Good Luck Mark.  Kuta's Lad checked off Zambora Idol on the second turn. Reefton Treasure and Jaimandy Hatty collided on the second turn.

No Permit was slow to begin.

Winston Cruise checked off Scarecrow Tiger on the first turn. Beejay's Lass and Happy Tails collided approaching the home turn checking Beejay's Lass. No Permit checked off Cracking Joe in the home straight. Winston Cruise galloped on No Permit in the home straight checking both greyhounds.

Midnight Ride was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left wrist, left biceps and left groin. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

A sample was taken from Midnight Ride, unplaced in the event.

The start of this event was delayed for approximately 1 minute to hold for Warnambool gallops.

Don Lesta stumbled at box rise and was very slow to begin (7L). 

Broulee Miss was slow to begin.

Tronic Flash, New Level, College Queen and Broulee Miss collided on the first turn checking New Level and Broulee Miss and severely checking College Queen which fell as a result. Linco Bale checked off New Level approaching the home turn. New Level and Broulee Miss collided on the home turn.

Don Lesta was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a minor right hind foot injury. No stand down penalty was applied.

College Queen was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left deltoid muscle, right and left groin muscles, and right stifle and pencil muscle. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

Minca Man was slow to begin.

Infinite Senor and Justa Jezza collided on the first turn checking Infinite Senor, Justa Jezza, All Inn Houston and Mr. Alfie. Minca Man checked off Mr. Alfie approaching the home turn. Minca Man checked off Justa Jezza approaching the home turn checking Tat Barbie. Infinite Senor faltered approaching the home turn checking All Inn Houston, Dessy Fozz, Justa Jezza and Minca Man and severely checking Tat Barbie and Infinite Senor. Infinite Senor fell as a result.

Infinite Senor was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured elbow/humerus, and was humanely euthanased.

Squizzy Buzzard and Latifi Cee Jay were slow to begin.

Squizzy Buzzard checked off Fabstar on the first turn severely checking Latifi Cee Jay. Parisian Magic checked off Major Bill approaching the home turn.

Midnight Kebab was a late scratching at 1:15pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a right monkey muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Murrabit Betty was slow to begin.

Moyarra Eclipse, Lunar Shadow, Rube's Ablaze and Heat Up collided on the first turn checking Lunar Shadow, Rube's Ablaze and Kid Carl and severely checking Heat Up which stumbled and lost ground as a result.

Stewards spoke to Mr T.Duncan the trainer of All Inn Boston regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. All Inn Boston last raced on 17 March, 2017. Mr Duncan stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a right back muscle injury.

Atlas Roughead was quick to begin. All Inn Boston and Bald Wal was slow to begin. Push The Trolley faltered approaching the home turn and tailed off as a result. World's On Fire checked off Babmbalam Emma approaching the home turn. Bambalam Emma and It Gets Better collided on the home turn and again in the home straight checking Bambalam Emma. Bambalam Emma and It Gets Better collided approaching the winning post checking It Gets Better.

Push The Trolley was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right back muscle injury. A stand down period of 60 days was imposed.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr P.Clark, the trainer of Wolfpack regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Wolfpack last raced on 19 February, 2017. Mr Clark stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after being on season. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Wolfpack trialled over the 450m from box 1, weight 29.2kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 25.84, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1L. Wolfpack was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Latifi Zeus trialled over the 450m from box 3, weight 30.4kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 25.84, the greyhound won by a margin of 1L. Latifi Zeus was cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results (Blinkers) - Margin Call trialled over the 450m from box 4, weight 28.8kg, the greyhound was placed 5th in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 25.84, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 7.25L. Margin Call was Cleared To Race In Blinkers. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Anton Flash trialled over the 450m from box 5, weight 33.5kg, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 25.84, the greyhound by a margin of 5.75L. Anton Flash was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Tat Kyla trialled over the 450m from box 8, weight 26.0kg, the greyhound was placed 3rd in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 25.84, the greyhound by a margin of 4.75L. Tat Kyla was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr T.Duncan, the trainer of All Inn Emma regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. All Inn Emma last raced on 26 January, 2017. Mr Duncan stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after being seasonal. Pursuant to GAR 77A, All Inn Emma trialled over the 390m from box 1, weight 29.7kg, the greyhound was placed 2 in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.80, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 4L. All Inn Emma was cleared.
