Gangster Miss was a late scratching at 9:02 pm, due to illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Mr Nicholas Kosky, trainer of Lektra Flame, declared a new weight of 32.9 kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Lektra Flame last raced at 31.7 kgs.
Flying Class and Wheel And Deal were slow to begin. Osti's Sprite and Gemanna Shelby collided soon after the start. Osti's Sprite and Iona Express collided at the 300m mark. Osti's Sprite and Iona Express collided at the 250m mark, checking Iona Express. Flying Class and Lektra Flame collided at the 250m mark. Iona Express checked off Flying Class approaching the winning post.
Gemanna Shelby was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained right foreleg chest and right hindleg groin injuries, a seven day stand down period was imposed.
