A pre-race sample was taken from Lilrigg.
Yaala and Lilrigg collided soon after the start. Funkhouser and Grand Hero collided soon after the start, checking Lilrigg. Agent Osti and Major Think collided soon after the start. Mepunga Bonnie, Adherent and Funkhouser collided approaching the 250m mark. Lilrigg, Funkhouser and Mepunga Bonnie collided at the 200m mark, checking Funkhouser. Grand Hero checked off Adherent at the 200m mark. Funkhouser and Lilrigg collided approaching the 150m mark, checking Lilrigg. Mepunga Bonnie galloped on the heels of Yaala approaching the 150m mark, severely checking Mepunga Bonnie and Yaala; Yaala fell as a result.
