Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Pawfection upon arrival on course, prior to kennelling.
Demon Jesse was a late scratching at 6.00pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to an injured right shoulder. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre-race sample was taken from San Pablo.
Lion Rebel was quick to begin. Cosmic Sole clipped the heels of Lion Rebel soon after the start. Birkenhead and Pawfection collided approaching the first turn. Birkenhead was checked off Pawfection on the first turn. Lion Rebel, Pawfection, Handsome Cosmo and San Pablo collided on the first turn checking Handsome Cosmo and severley checking Pawfection.
Roland View was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right wrist and right shoulder muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
