Steward's Report
Just Banji was slow to begin. Riverina Miss and Acola Sweetie collided soon after the start, checking Riverina Miss. Acola Sweetie, Brienne, Wishing Angel and Moyarra Eclipse collided approaching the first turn, checking Acola Sweetie and Wishing Angel. Proven Snow, Twilight Fever and Brienne collided approaching the first turn, checking Brienne. Riverina Miss, Acola Sweetie and Wishing Angel collided on the first turn. Proven Snow and Twilight Fever collided on the first turn. Acola Sweetie, Wishing Angel and Just Banji collided approaching the home turn, checking Acola Sweetie and Wishing Angel, and severely checking Just Banji which stumbled. Acola Sweetie and Twilight Fever raced wide in the home straight.
Just Banji was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained left and right hindleg triangle, and left hindleg pencil/whip injuries, a five day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr Steven Collyer, the handler of Riverina Miss, regarding his failure to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound for racing pursuant to GAR 46(2).
