Steward's Report

Bevvie's Bullet, My Cousin Jim and Sukoku Buddah were slow to begin.  My Cousin Jim and All Inn Lomu collided soon after the start, checking My Cousin Jim.  Sala Bale and Avatar Minty collided approaching the first turn, checking Sala Bale.  My Cousin Jim, Heroic Outlaw and Larrikan Bozzie collided approaching the first turn, checking Heroic Outlaw and Larrikan Bozzie.  Bevvies Bullet galloped on the heels of All Inn Lomu on the first turn, checking Bevvies Bullet.  Sala Bale and My Cousin Jim collided approaching the home turn.  Bevvies Bullet marred the running of All Inn Lomu in the home straight and again approaching the winning post.

Bevvies Bullet was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained left and right foreleg monkey, left and right hindleg pencil/whip, and left and right hindleg triangle injury, a seven day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr John Mundy, the handler of the greyhound Bevvies Bullet, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight and approaching the winning post.  Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Bevvies Bullet with marring.  Mr Mundy pleaded not guilty to the charge, Bevvies Bullet was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Bendigo and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Heroic Outlaw was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right foreleg toe injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
