A pre-race sample was taken from Wonder Doug.
Wonder Doug was quick to begin. Hector Bogart was slow to begin. Joycee Rae and Destini Laredo collided soon after the start checking Joycee Rae. Destini Fortress and Hector Bogart collided on the first turn checking Hector Bogart. Time Sent checked off Destini Laredo on the first turn. Vectis Seyarda checked off Destini Fortress on the second turn. Hector Bogart clipped the heels of Destini Laredo approaching the home turn, checking Hector Bogart and severely checking Joycee Rae which stumbled and lost considerable ground, and causing Vectis Seyarda to fall. Time Sent and Hector Bogart collided in the home straight checking Hector Bogart.
Joycee Rae was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Vectis Seyarda was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right triceps, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
