Barnie's Blaster and Take That Banksy were slow to begin. Dashing Diamond checked off Little Mix soon after the start. Dashing Diamond checked off Barnie's Blaster approaching the first turn. Barnie's Blaster, Okay Penny and Reverend John collided on the first turn checking Okay Penny and Reverend John. Dashing Diamond lost ground over the concluding stages of the event.
Dashing Diamond was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left sartorius muscle and right thoraco-lumbar, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
