The start of this event was delayed by one minute to allow Sky Channel to complete their commitments to Maryborough Harness.
A pre-race sample was taken from Zac's A Sixpence.
Maximum Maddy was quick to begin. Cosmic Kilby was slow to begin. Face To Face and Milwalcar collided soon after the start checking Face To Face. Face To Face checked off Milwalcar approaching the first turn and raced wide as a result. Snippyliss and Zac's A Sixpence collided approaching the first turn checking Snippyliss. Wise Harry checked off Zac's A Sixpence on the first turn. Maximum Maddy checked off Allen Jake on the first turn checking Cosmic Kilby. Cosmic Kilby and Maximum Maddy collided approaching the home turn checking Maximum Maddy. Face To Face raced wide in the home straight. Cosmic Kilby tired over the concluding stages of the event.
Cosmic Kilby was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right triceps and quadriceps, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
