Miss Judge and Dr. Mortikye collided soon after the start. Diamond Ruby and Xtreme Notice collided soon after the start. Zoobie and Jaygee Sprinter collided approaching the first turn. Dr. Annie, Dr. Mortikye and Diamond Ruby collided on the first turn and again approaching the second turn. Dr. Annie, Diamond Ruby and Jaygee Sprinter collided on the second turn, checking Jaygee Sprinter and Diamond Ruby. Dr. Annie and Jaygee Sprinter collided on the third turn, checking Jaygee Sprinter.

Diamond Ruby was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left saddle muscle, a five day stand down period was imposed.
Diamond Ruby escaped the catching pen at the conclusion of this race when a wind gust pushed open the lure apron enough for the greyhound to push through. Diamond Ruby ran only a short distance before being secured near the 715m starting boxes. A precautionary veterinary examination was undertaken.
