A pre-race sample was taken from Maestro Destini upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Starlight Lucy, Mr. Stealer and Retro Flyer collided soon after the start, checking Retro Flyer. Retro Flyer and Maestro Destini collided entering the front straight, checking Maestro Destini. Retro Flyer and Maestro Destini collided on the second turn, checking Maestro Destini and Dr. Condor. Retro Flyer and Maestro Destini collided on the third turn, checking Retro Flyer. Duff Bale checked off Starlight Lucy entering the back straight. Starlight Lucy and Retro Flyer collided in the home straight.
Retro Flyer was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards issued a warning to Mr. D. Bate, the handler of Retro Flyer regarding the greyhound’s racing manners in the home straight.
An inquiry was opened by Stewards into an incident that evolved in the trainer's car park, prior to kennelling today. Trainer Mr. P. Tanti made submissions to the Stewards in relation to the preparation of Maestro Destini for racing and also his possession of a single unpackaged tablet. A car-park sample was taken at that time and a pre-race sample was also taken, just prior racing, from Maestro Destini. The tablet was confiscated for analytical purposes with the inquiry being adjourned to a later date, pending receipt of the results of these three samples.
