Steward's Report
Resplando, Straitline Willy and Orataya were slow to begin.
Vis Vitae eased approaching the first turn. Doused In Mud and Galloping Benny collided on the first turn checking Galloping Benny. Marvellous Midge and Doused In Mud collided on the second turn. Straitline Willy checked off Orataya entering the back straight. Straitline Willy and Orataya collided entering the home straight and again in the home straight.
Vis Vitae was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr P. Presutto, the trainer of the greyhound Vis Vitae regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the first turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Vis Vitae with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Presutto declined a re-vet and pleaded guilty to the charge, Vis Vitae was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nominations will be accepted.
