Steward's Report
Sisco Swift was slow to begin. Warbo and Asterix Rose collided soon after the start. Shining Opal checked off Scoota Flash approaching the first turn. Chrissy Pee and Scoota Flash collided on the second turn. Asterix Rose tired approaching the third turn, cramped and fell entering the home straight.
Dig Deep Bert was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left tapezius muscle and the left saddle muscle. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.
Asterix Rose was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right deltoid injury and cramping. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. R.Gatt, the trainer of the greyhound Dig Deep Bert. Stewards deemed the performance of Dig Deep Bert unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Dig Deep Bert must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
