Chantilly Beauty was slow to begin. Jobes Return and Brandeen Peaches collided soon after the start checking Brandeen Peaches. Chantilly Beauty and General's Girl collided on the third turn checking General's Girl. Shades Of Lippy galloped on the heels of Lady Ceecee on the home turn. Brandeen Peaches and Chantilly Beauty collided entering the home straight. Lady Ceecee and Shades Of Lippy collided entering the home straight causing both greyhounds to become unbalanced.

Secret Message, Roger Express and Makikos collided soon after the start. Meehan Barney, Secret Message, Roger Express and Makikos collided approaching the first turn. Secret Message, Roger Express and Makikos collided on the first turn checking Roger Express and Makikos. Smurftastic and Missed My Stop collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Smurftastic checked off the heels of Missed My Stop on the second turn.

Smurftastic was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.

Red Hot Fox and Akina Blitz were slow to begin. Red Hot Fox checked off the heels of On The Rebound soon after the start. Hollywood Pearl and Manila Traffic collided approaching the first turn. Cain Hoy checked off the heels of Marvellous Midge approaching the first turn. Marvellous Midge and Cain Hoy collided on the second turn. On The Rebound and Akina Blitz collided approaching the third turn checking On The Rebound. Marvellous Midge and Red Hot Fox collided approaching the third turn and again approaching the home turn. Manila Traffic and Zou Star collided entering the home straight.

Boycey Road and Ice Cool Kaedyn were quick to begin. Buzz Rash was slow to begin. Doused In Mud checked off the heels of Boycey Road on the first turn. Doused In Mud and Buzz Rash collided entering the back straight and again approaching the home turn. Alpe D'Blanc trailed the field throughout the event

.Alpe D'Blanc was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left and right monkey muscles. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.

Apollo's Twin was a late scratching at 12.49pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to an abscess on the right front foot.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Permafrost, Stirling Defence and Shep collided soon after the start checking Stirling Defence. Shep, Zelemar Roo and Permafrost collided approaching the first turn checking Permafrost and Zelemar Roo. Permafrost and Zelemar Roo collided on the first turn. Stirling Defence checked off the heels of Shep on the third turn.

Zelemar Roo was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right pencil muscle injury and a spike wound to the left hind leg. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Fearless Flyer.

Carry On Pendles and Crackerjack Shak were slow to begin. Fearless Flyer, Galloping Leo and Lightwood Miss collided soon after the start checking Galloping Leo and Lightwood Miss. Fearless Flyer raced wide throughout.

Stewards spoke to Mr B.Keel, the representative of Very Choosy regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Very Choosy last raced on 4 February 2017. Mr Keel stated that the greyhound was resuming racing after a suffering a right elbow injury followed by a change of kennel. Mr Keel declared a new weight of 35.5kg for Very Choosy in accordance with GAR 39 (2). Very Choosy last raced at 33.9kg.

Droppin' Plates and Meehan Sox collided soon after the start checking Droppin' Plates. Faithfull Hill and Meehan Sox collided approaching the first turn. Faithful Hill and Blue Reef collided approaching the first turn checking Blue Reef. Meehan Sox galloped on the heels of Uno Arjo on the first turn checking Uno Arjo. Vanishka, Uno Arjo and Meehan Sox collided on the first turn checking Vanishka, Uno Arjo, Meehan Sox and Droppin' Plates. Blue Reeh, Verry Choosy and Droppin' Plates collided entering the back straight checking Very Choosy. Blue Reef checked off Droppin' Plates in the back straight. Blue Reef checked off Very Choosy approaching the third turn. Meehan Sox and Droppin' Plates collided approaching the home turn. Vanishka and Faithful Hill collided on the home turn. 

Uno Arjo was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left hind metacarpal.  A 14 day stand down periiod was imposed.

A sample was taken from Mackenzies Run, winner of the event.

Back Slapper, Rippin Hayne, Zipping Maisy and Cheerful Scout collided soon after the start checking Rippin Hayne and Back Slapper. Back Slapper, Rippin Hayne, Zipping Maisy, Cheerful Scout and Empress Lu collided on the first turn checking Back Slapper, Rippin Hayne and Zipping Maisy. Rippin Hayne and Back Slapper collided approaching the second turn checking Back Slapper. Zipping Maisy and Crackerjack Sam collided entering the home straight.

Back Slapper was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

May Haze and Our Mate Wilson were slow to begin. Ima Ebay, Resplando, Feel Your Heart, Vintage Millane and Bound After Gold collided on the first turn checking Feel Your Heart, Our Mate Wilson and Dee Jay Dancer. Our Mate Wilson and Dee Jay Dancer collided entering the back straight.

Samples were taken from the placegetters  - May Haze (1st)  and Vintage Millane (2nd)  

Dashing Moments was a late scratching at 11.33am due to illness (GAR23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Lord Kitchener and Sturridge collided soon after the start. Scanez Jewel and Dashing Impulse collided approaching  the first turn. Scanez Jewel and Dashing Impulse collided on the second turn.   Sturridge, Dashing Impulse and Scanez Jewel collided approaching the third turn checking Scanez Jewel and Drafted.

Bekim Fire was slow to begin. Akina Dee Jay, Harlem Shake and Duff Bale collided soon after the start. Excelencia checked off the heels of Scorching Fella approaching the first turn checking Excelencia and Showtime Chevi. Akina Dee Jay and Excelencia collided on the first turn checking Excelencia. Bekim Fire and Duff Bale collided on the first turn checking Duff Bale.

Sisco Swift was slow to begin. Warbo and Asterix Rose collided soon after the start. Shining Opal checked off Scoota Flash approaching the first turn. Chrissy Pee and Scoota Flash collided on the second turn. Asterix Rose tired approaching the third turn, cramped and fell entering the home straight.

Dig Deep Bert was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left tapezius muscle and the left saddle muscle. A stand down period of 5 days was imposed.

Asterix Rose was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right deltoid injury and cramping. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R.Gatt, the trainer of the greyhound Dig Deep Bert.  Stewards deemed the performance of Dig Deep Bert unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Dig Deep Bert must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Ms. V. Watson, the trainer of the greyhound Asterix Rose.  Acting in accordance with GAR 71,(cramp) Stewards directed that Asterix Rose must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
