Straitline Willy was slow to begin.  Candy Rose and Straitline Willy collided soon after the start, checking Candy Rose.  Terpillar and Run Rita Run collided approaching the first turn, checking Run Rita Run.  Full Moon and Neo Cleo collided approaching the first turn, checking Full Moon.  Run Rita Run clipped the heels of Full Moon approaching the home turn and again on the home turn causing Run Rita Run to fall, checking Candy Rose.  Shark Tank and Rahni collided on the home turn, checking Shark Tank.

Run Rita Run was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right shin, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to W Bickerton, the trainer of Miss Fab regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Miss Fab last raced on 15 March 2017. W Bickerton stated that the greyhound was returning from an injured right hock.

Takaho Tiger was a late scratching at 5.38pm on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to a cut right front pad. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to A Karabitsakos, the trainer of Lion Rebel regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Lion Rebel last raced on 4 April 2017. A Karabitsakos stated that the greyhound was returning from an injured right hind toe.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Massive Attack and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 6.11pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer J Condon was fined the sum of $100.
