Steward's Report
A pre race sample was taken from Barroom Counsel.
Whodat Magic, Reatily Shintaro and Blue Alcatraz were slow to begin. Whodat Magic and Reatily Shintaro collided soon after the start. Whodat Magic, Reatily Shintaro, Barroom Counsel and Pee Dee collided approaching the first turn checking Barroom Counsel, Reatily Shintaro and Pee Dee. Barroom Counsel and Whodat Magic collided on the first turn. Whodat Magic, Reatily Shintaro and Pee Dee collided on the first turn checking Reatily Shintaro and Pee Dee. Barroom Counsel and Reatily Shintaro collided on the second turn checking Barroom Counsel. There's Steamy checked off Sacred Diamond approaching the home turn. Whodat Magic marred Sacred Diamond in the home straight checking There's Steamy and Zipping Scarlet.
Sacred Diamond was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Whodat Magic was vetted and after being re vetted following event 12, it was reported that the greyhound was found to have soreness in the lumbar spine and left stifle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Fasoli, the representative of the greyhound Whodat Magic regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Whodat Magic with marring. Mr. Fasoli pleaded not guilty to the charge, Whodat Magic was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
