White Line Lass was quick to begin.  Spin The Trolley and Ollie Pedro collided soon after the start.  Agent Voilet and Shadow Diamond collided on the first turn.  Ollie Pedro checked off Shadow Diamond on the first turn.  Aye Milo checked off Agent Voilet on the first turn.  Shadow Diamond checked off Spin the Trolley on the home turn.

Perfect Storm, Boom Flash and Dreamy Julian were slow to begin.  Knew It, Clarence Clocka, Select Danger and Omega Vera collided approaching the first turn checking Select Danger, Clarence Clocka and Perfect Storm.  Clarence Clocka and Perfect Storm collided on the home turn causing Perfect Storm to race wide in the home straight.

Princess Shae and Tarsier were slow to begin.  Princess Shae and Tarsier collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Riverside Kim and She's Got Dash collided on the first turn checking Rock It Ronny, Tarsier, Riverside Kim and No Money Down and causing Rock It Ronny, No Money Down and Riverside Kim to fall.

Rock It Ronny was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left flexor tendon injury and a laceration to the left front stopper pad, a 60 day stand down period was imposed

Tarsier was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

No Money Down was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hind toe injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Riverside Kim was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left hind leg and nose.  No stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to the trainer Mr. P. Borradale regarding the direction that the greyhound No Money Down be boxed first.  Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.

Azza, Hello Slick and Give Away King were slow to begin.  Bigtime Raider crossed in on the first turn checking Temujin and Paddy's Cripp and severely checking Hello Slick and On The Rebound.

On The Rebound was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

A pre race sample was taken from Tiggerlong Nosey.

Early Thunder was quick to begin.  Amaroo Gonzales galloped on Our Bravo Rose soon after the start severely checking Our Bravo Rose which fell as a result.  We Have Hope galloped on Tiggerlong Nosey on the first turn severely checking We Have Hope.  We Have Hope, Early Express and Amaroo Gonzales collided on the first turn severely checking all three greyhounds.

Our Bravo Rose was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Abed Bale was quick to begin.  Jazzy Bale, Bolta Neveelk and Bulldog Warrior were slow to begin.  Bolta Neveelk checked off Ninetymile Holly on the first turn.  Jazzy Bale checked off Kisseemee entering the back straight.  Ninetymile Holly checked off Abed Bale on the second turn checking Legend Jack, Ninetymile Holly and Bulldog Warrior.  Jazzy Bale and Bulldog Warrior raced wide on the home turn.

The late scratching of Tankster at 2:07pm due to weight variation has no penalty issued to the trainer or the greyhound due to an issue  with the scales shortly after the greyhound was scratched.

Shanlyn George and Omega Bonner were slow to begin.  Omega Sniper and Massive Attack collided soon after the start.  Omega Bonner, Shanlyn George and Phillip Keeping collided on the first turn checking Shanlyn George and Phillip Keeping.  Omega Bonner and Massive Attack collided approaching the home turn.  Omega Brittany and Massive Attack collided on the home turn checking Massive Attack.  Shanlyn George checked off Massive Attack entering the home straight.

Phillip Keeping was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left hind hock.  No stand down period was imposed.

Whodat Magic, Reatily Shintaro and Blue Alcatraz were slow to begin.  Whodat Magic and Reatily Shintaro collided soon after the start.  Whodat Magic, Reatily Shintaro, Barroom Counsel and Pee Dee collided approaching the first turn checking Barroom Counsel, Reatily Shintaro and Pee Dee.  Barroom Counsel and Whodat Magic collided on the first turn.  Whodat Magic, Reatily Shintaro and Pee Dee collided on the first turn checking Reatily Shintaro and Pee Dee.  Barroom Counsel and Reatily Shintaro collided on the second turn checking Barroom Counsel.  There's Steamy checked off Sacred Diamond approaching the home turn.  Whodat Magic marred Sacred Diamond in the home straight checking There's Steamy and Zipping Scarlet.

Whodat Magic was vetted  and after being re vetted following event 12, it was reported that the greyhound was found to have soreness in the lumbar spine and left stifle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. L. Fasoli, the representative of the greyhound Whodat Magic regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(1) stewards charged Whodat Magic with marring.  Mr. Fasoli pleaded not guilty to the charge, Whodat Magic was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Sinclair, the trainer of Mignon regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Mignon last raced on 14th February 2017.  Mr. Sinclair stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being on season.

Knightrider and Parie Shiraz were slow to begin.  Cruella Deville and Parie Shiraz collided approaching the first turn checking Parie Shiraz.  Wicked Hillary, Rover, Knightrider and Bogie Tiara collided approaching the first turn checking Rover. Rover checked off Wicked Hillary on the first turn severely checking Rover.  Wicked Hillary checked off Mignon approaching the home turn.  Wicked Hillary and Parie Shiraz raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Fear Fire, Veetee Mist and Big Hook were slow to begin.  Big Hook and Veetee Mist collided soon after the start checking Veetee Mist.  Heard It Before, Simply Mystic and Turfman collided on the first turn severely checking Turfman.  Turfman checked off Woofenden on the first turn.  Fear Fire checked off Big Hook approaching the home turn.  Big Hook checked off Heard It Before approaching the winning post.

Turfman was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound was found to have neck pain, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Tiggerlong Scar was quick to begin.  Miss Dee Meadows and Motivate Her were slow to begin.  Jimmy's Angel and Fairy Vixen collided soon after the start.  Motivate Her checked off Cookie Rose on the first turn.  Tiggerlong Scar checked off Fairy Vixen on the first turn.  Miss Dee Meadows and Fleur De Rose collided approaching the home turn.  Cookie Rose and Fleur De Rose collided approaching the winning post.

Ms. K. Gorman, trainer of Gemanna Shelby declared a new weight of 31.0kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Gemanna Shelby last raced at 32.1kgs.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Clohesy, the trainer of Wadelock Juliet regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Wadelock Juliet last raced on 22nd January, 2017.  Mr. Clohesy stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a right hind muscle injury.

A pre race sample was taken from Maderra.

Maderra and Wadelock Juliet were slow to begin.  Zipping Emma, Midnight Minx and Maderra collided soon after the start checking Zipping Emma and Maderra.  Zipping Emma and Maderra collided on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds and causing Maderra to fall as a result.  Midnight Minx checked off About To Cry approaching the home turn.  About To Cry raced wide on the home turn.

Maderra was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Towards the end of kennelling there was an issue with the weighing scales, as a result the last 16 greyhounds that were kennelled, no weight was recorded.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Tiger Rance trialled over the 440m from box 1, weight 33.5Kgs,  the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 25.17,  the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3.25 lengths.  Tiger Rance was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results- Blastoise trialled over the 440m from box 8, weight 36.2kgs,  the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 25.17, the greyhound won by a margin of 3.25 lengths.   Blastoise was Cleared.
