Steward's Report
Cordite Alert, Miss Moggy and Solitary Girl were slow to begin. Miss Moggy checked off Paxton Bale approaching the first turn and faltered. Miss Moggy, Cordite Alert and Zulu Hurricane approaching the first turn check Cordite Alert. Cordite Alert checked off Solitary Girl on the first turn. Derivation raced wide on the home turn. Zulu Hurricane eased in the home straight.
Cordite Alert was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both triangles. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.
Zulu Hurricane was vetted and re-vetted following race 9. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Miss Moggy was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Fisher, the trainer of the greyhound Zulu Hurricane regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Zulu Hurricane with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Fisher pleaded guilty to the charge,Zulu Hurricane was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
