Stewards spoke to Mr S. Malloy trainer of Nellie Shan regarding the length of time the greyhound had between races. Nallie Shan last raced on 25th February 2017. Mr S. Malloy stated that the dog had resumed racing due to being seasonal.

Mr S. Malloy , trainer of Nellie Shan declared a new weight of 31.2kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Nellie Shan last raced at 30.1kg.

Meila Allen was quick to begin. Kintimani was slow to begin. Sidey checked off Nellie Shan approaching the first turn. Nellie Shan and Nicky Jo collided on the first turn. Sidey and Special Case collided on the first turn. Nicky Jo and Nellie Shan collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn. Nicky Jo checked off Nellie Shan entering the home straight. Nellie Shan checked off Special Case in the home straight. Special Case checked off Sidey in the home straight.

Nellie Shan was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the back right foot. A stand down period of 14 days was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Licensed person Mr Robert Bromley and reminded him of his reponsibilities after he failed to fulfil his catching engagement for Nellie Shan.

Golden Gown was quick to begin. Golden Gown, Zulu Reign and Sala Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Golden Gown and Sala Bale. Golden Gown and She's Crackers collided on the home turn and again in the home straight.

Golden Gown was vetted following the event. It was reported that greyhound sustained a right thigh injury. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Cordite Alert, Miss Moggy and Solitary Girl were slow to begin. Miss Moggy checked off Paxton Bale approaching the first turn and faltered. Miss Moggy, Cordite Alert and Zulu Hurricane approaching the first turn check Cordite Alert. Cordite Alert checked off Solitary Girl on the first turn. Derivation raced wide on the home turn. Zulu Hurricane eased in the home straight.

Cordite Alert was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to both triangles. A stand down period of 10 days was imposed.

Zulu Hurricane was vetted and re-vetted following race 9. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Miss Moggy was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Fisher, the trainer of the greyhound Zulu Hurricane regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Zulu Hurricane with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Fisher pleaded guilty to the charge,Zulu Hurricane was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Another Spritely and Swift Trent collided in the home straight checking Ocean Bay which collided with Zorro Creek.

Zuma Creek was slow to begin. Zuma Creek checked off Paranoia soon after the start. Zuma Creek checked off Sketchy Nick approaching the first turn. Zuma Creek and Full Of Boloney collided on the first turn. Sketchy Nick and Fiorelli Rose checked off Whatta Rebel approaching the home turn.

Spring's Over was quick to begin. Al's Luck was slow to begin. Al's Luck and Magic Innings collided soon after the start. Arizona checked off Chilly Kiss on the first turn. Arizona and Magic Innings collided on the first turn.

Smart Maxwell was slow to begin. Cee Righty, Bella Express and Paraphernalia collided approaching the first turn checking Paraphernalia and Smart Maxwell. Paraphernalia and What Joy collided on the home turn. What Joy and Kiwi Collision collided in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr J Ritchies trainer of Arolok Lil' Gal regarding the length of time the greyhound had between races. Arolok Lil' Gal last raced on 30th January 2017. Mr J Ritchies stated that was resuming racing due toi an extended spell.

Lucky Onyx was slow to begin. Ain't My Fault and Uni Allen collided soon after the start. Lockrod and Rich Value collided soon after the start checking Lockrod. Uni Allen, Lockrod and Ain't My Fault collided approaching the first turn checking Lucky Onyx and Tiger Tees. Arolok Lil' Gal and Uni Allen collided on the home turn. Lockrod and Lucky Onyx collided on the home turn.

Ms N Stanley, trainer of Tiger Bite Turbo declared a new weight of 31.8kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Tiger Bite Turbo last raced at 29.9kg.

Ledgerwood Molly and Dashing Dream collided soon after the start checking Ledgerwood Molly. Tiger Bite Turbo, Misty Warrior and Fast Freddie collided approaching the first turn checking Fast Freddie.Injector crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Fast Freddie, Pillar Creek and Dashing Dream.
