Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Carr, the trainer of Parrot Is Loose regarding the greyhound's rise in distance. Mr. Carr stated that the greyhound has had two trials at The Meadows in preperation for todays event.
Pyrenees Dynasty was slow to begin. Parrot Is Loose, Sisco Mama and General's Girl collided approaching the first turn checking Parrot Is Loose. Sisco Mama, General's Girl, Lady Isabella and He's A Joker collided on the first turn checking General's Girl, Lady Isabella and He's A Joker. Lady Isabella raced wide on the home turn. Sisco Mama eased and crossed to the outside entering the home straight. General's Girl, Parrot Is Loose and Lady Isabella raced wide in the home straight. General's Girl and Pyrenees Dynasty collided approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Smith, the handler of the greyhound Sisco Mama regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight. Sisco Mama was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right monkey muscle. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Sisco Mama with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Smith pleaded not guilty to the charge. Sisco Mama was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
