Malarkey was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Mickevin, Motors Too Fast and My Sirion collided approaching the first turn checking Motors Too Fast. Dusty's Magic crossed to the inside approaching the first turn severely checking Mickevin and My Sirion. Malarkey checked off My Sirion approaching the home turn. Motors Too Fast brushed the running rail approaching the home turn and lost ground as a result. Georga Girl and Dusty's Magic collided on the home turn checking Dusty's Magic and Hensap Hero. Dusty's Magic checked off Hensap Hero entering the home straight. Hensap Hero checked off My Sirion approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Wynd, the trainer of Nawala Ginto regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Nawala Ginto last raced on 25th June 2015.
