Steward's Report
Pee Dee, Just Run Left and Drizzle were slow to begin. Delcorn Potts checked off Loosey Jabna soon after the start. Pee Dee checked off Miss Lumens soon after the start. Delcorn Potts, Pee Dee and Bonza Magic collided on the first turn checking Pee Dee and Bonza Magic. Pee Dee and Bonza Magic collided approaching the home turn checking Bonza Magic. Juda Lomar and Loosey Jabna raced wide entering the home straight. Delcorn Potts checked off Miss Lumens entering the home straight. Pee Dee checked off Delcorn Potts in the home straight. Pee Dee eased in the home straight and collided with Delcorn Potts. Miss Lumens and Loosey Jabna collided in the home straight. Miss Lumens, Loosey Jabna and Just Run Left collided approaching the winning post.
Pee Dee was partially vetted following the event, due to a pre-race sample. The veterinary surgeon was required to attend the sample, as a result Mr Tabb declined to have the greyhound vetted at a later stage.
Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Tabb, the representative of the greyhound Pee Dee regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1), stewards charged Pee Dee with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Tabb pleaded guilty to the charge. Pee Dee was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A sample was taken from Miss Lumens, the winner of the event.
