Stewards charged trainer Leigh Mitchell with a breach of GAR 86 (o) in that as the trainer of the greyhound Destructacon he failed to ensure that the said greyhound was presented for racing at the Bendigo Greyhound Association meeting on 25 May 2016 which in the opinion of Stewards was negligent. Mr Mitchell pleaded guiltyto the charge. Mr Mitchell was found guilty. A penalty of a $200 fine was applied.

Stewards spoke to Mr W. Elson, trainer of the greyhound Ariki Whero as it had not raced since 7 December, 2015. Mr Elson stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after having a left front toe removed.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Proper Bluey trialled over the 425m from box 1, weight of 33.6kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4.The time of the trial was 23.92, the greyhound won by a margin of 7L. Proper Bluey was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Uno Perry trialled over the 425m from box 3, weight of 34.2kg, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4.The time of the trial was 23.92, the greyhound beaten by a margin of 11.25L. Uno Perry was cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Mr Alfie trialled over the 425m from box 8, weight of 31.8kg, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4.The time of the trial was 23.92, the greyhound beaten by a margin of 7L. Mr Alfie was cleared.
