Steward's Report

Jack's Miss was a late scratching at 2:37PM on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an injured hind toe nail. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Destructacon was a late scratching at 2:39PM by order of stewards. 

Spring Top was quick to begin.

Explosive Tiger and Kamchatka Kid were slow to begin.

Spring Top and Kamchatka Kid collided approaching the home turn, checking Spring Top.

Bet Bet Belle and Spring Top collided approaching the home turn, checking Spring Top.

Barby Que crossed to the rail in the home straight, collided with I've Got Bills, checking I've Got Bills and Bet Bet Belle.

I've Got Bills and Bet Bet Belle collided in the home straight, checking both greyhounds.

Samples were taken from placegetters in the event Kamchatka Kid (1st) and Barby Que (2nd).

Stewards charged trainer Leigh Mitchell with a breach of GAR 86 (o) in that as the trainer of the greyhound Destructacon he failed to ensure that the said greyhound was presented for racing at the Bendigo Greyhound Association meeting on 25 May 2016 which in the opinion of Stewards was negligent. Mr Mitchell pleaded guiltyto the charge. Mr Mitchell was found guilty. A penalty of a $200 fine was applied.
