Steward's Report
Acting on a confirmed phone call from trainer, Mr. G. Howell, the trainer of Cabaye, the greyhound was a late scratching at 16:05 due to vehicle break down. Mr. Howell was fined $100, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
A pre race sample was taken from Pure Gassed.
Pure Gassed, Blown Away and Willowvale Wings were slow to begin. Pure Gassed, Blown Away, What's Up Trumps and Dagwood collided on the first turn checking What's Up Trumps and Willowvale Wings. Dagwood checked off Willowvale Wings entering the back straight. Blown Away, What's Up Trumps and Dagwood collided in the back straight checking Blown Away and Dagwood.
Dagwood was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left and right back muscles and the left and right triangle muscles, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
