Steward's Report
Acting on a confirmed phone call from Mr. G. Howell the trainer of Cut Loose Max, the greyhound was a late scratching at 16:05 due to vehicle break down. Mr. Howell was fined $100, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
Pursuant to GAR 104 (6) Judge, Ms. S. Cameron did not act in any official capacity for this event.
Stewards were advised by the kennel attendant, Mrs. V. Finne-Larsen, that she had observed Canino had vomited up a white coloured tablet when she was supervising the retrieval of the greyhound for racing prior to the event. Stewards spoke to the trainer of the greyhound, Mr. C. Johannsen regarding the matter. After taking into consideration Mr. Johannsen's evidence Stewards collected the tablet for examination, and informed Mr. Johannsen that a sample would be taken from the greyhound following the race.
Beyond Galaxia, Leopardstown and Allen Jersey collided soon after the start. Bubba's Silvia, Leopardstown and Beyond Galaxia collided approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Beyond Galaxia and Leopardstown collided on the first turn and again approaching the second turn checking Leopardstown. Allen Jersey and Bubba's Silvia collided approaching the second turn. Leopardstown and Beyond Galaxia collided entering the back straight severely checking Beyond Galaxia. Allen Jersey and She's A Collinda collided in the home straight.
