The start of this event was rescheduled to 7.50pm due to a malfunction of the compressor at the boxes. As a result all races were put back 2 races with race 11 to commence at 11.05pm and race 12 to commence at 11.20pm.

Minca Man was slow to begin.  Speedcar Skip, Twilight Cruiser, All Inn Amber, Taiyoo Alphonse, Lena's Entity and Minca Man collided soon after the start checking Twilight Cruiser, Taiyoo Alphonse and Lena's Entity, severely checking All Inn Amber.  Speedcar Skip galloped on the heels of Lily Latief approaching the first turn, severely checking Speedcar Skip.  Lena's Entity galloped on the heels of Speedcar Skip on the first turn.  Twilight Cruiser and Taiyoo Alphonse collided on the first turn.  Speedcar Skip and Lena's Entity collided approaching the home turn and again entering the home straight.

Speedcar Skip was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left hind, no stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr D. Jarvis, the trainer of Speedcar Skip regarding his failure to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound for racing. Stewards charged Mr Jarvis with a breach of GAR 46(2) in that he failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound Speedcar Skip. Mr Jarvis pleaded guilty to the charge. Stewards found Mr Jarvis guilty and issued a fine of $100.
