Ima Wildfire was quick to begin. Amaroo Gonzales was slow to begin. Amaroo Gonzales was checked off Old Joes Lad approaching the first turn. Old Joes Lad and Power Burst collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Old Joes Lad galloped on Power Burst on the second turn severley checking both greyhounds, Power Burst stumbled as a result. Aston Quich raced wide on the second turn. Ima Wildfire and Why Not Roy collided entering the home straight. Power Burst cramped in the home straight. Ima Wildfire and Why Not Roy collided approaching the winning post.
Power Burst was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 5, it was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to the left hock and left metatarsus, no stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mrs. P. Andrews the trainer of the greyhound Power Burst. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (cramp) Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a satisfactory trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
