Johnny Bullet was quick to begin. Aeroplane Jet, Meteor Panther , Crackerjack Ken and Dr. Gammiris were slow to begin. Johnny Bullet crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Aeroplane Jet. Meteor Panther and Crackerjack Ken collided soon after the start. Cheerful Scout crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Far Out Indian. Meteor Panther was checked off Far Out Indian on the first turn. Crackerjack Ken and Dr. Gammiris collided on the first turn. Far Out Indian raced wide in the back straight. Kayo King and Cheerful Scout collided approaching the winning post.
