Steward's Report
Precipitation, Ripper and Charm Again were slow to begin. Why Not Jojo, Charm Again and Ripper collided on the first turn checking Charm Again. Precipitation, Anberlin and Marciarno Miss collided on the first turn. Dr. Sherlock and Precipitation collided entering the back straight. Anberlin was checked off Betty Baker on the third turn. Ripper marred Betty Baker on the home turn causing both greyhounds to race wide. Dr. Sherlock and Anberlin collided approaching the winning post.
Ripper was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no injury apparent.
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Chatwin the representative of the greyhound Ripper regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Ripper with marring. Mr. Chatwin pleaded guilty to the charge, Ripper was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Traralgon and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
