A pre-race sample was taken from Miss Tron.
Astromatic and Miss Tron were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Phil's In Luck crossed in approaching the first turn checking Astromatic and Miss Tron. Compelling, Aston Sprite and Phil's In Luck collided on the first turn checking Little Pookie and Miss Tron and severley checking Red Cadillac, Aston Sprite and Astromatic, Astromatic lost considerable ground. Compelling and Phil's In Luck collided entering the back straight checking Compelling. Little Pookie and Miss Tron collided approaching the second turn. Rylee's Ring In and Phil's In Luck collided on the second turn.
Aston Sprite was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left back muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
